What the F*** Is Healing?

What the F*** Is Healing?

The buzzword that everyone likes to throw around - Healing!

I'll make this as short as possible (we can deep dive later).

At it's core, healing is self-awareness.

It is acknowledging that, like every other human on this earth, you have wounds. We all do. It’s becoming self-aware enough to recognize that things hurt you or made you fearful as a child—and you’ve been carrying those experiences ever since, often without realizing it.

These wounds live in your subconscious. Right now, you might not remember what someone said or did that hurt you, or the time your parents or friends reacted in a way that scared you. But those moments stuck with you. Without awareness, they continue to shape how you act, react, and make decisions today—all in an effort to avoid being hurt or scared like that ever again.

Healing is finding those wounds. It’s recognizing how they’ve created limiting beliefs, fueled negative self-talk, and molded you into an inauthentic version of yourself—one designed to ‘fit in’ and feel loved. All of this, because someone, somewhere, planted a painful idea, and you latched onto it. And here’s the truth: we all have these wounds. No one is exempt. Exemption is not part of the game of life.

But that version of you isn’t the real you. It’s a character you created—a mask that doesn’t fit, that you don’t fully like, and that feels exhausting to maintain. Healing is the process of tearing off that mask. It’s diving into your past through tools like journaling and inner child meditations to pinpoint the moments that hurt you, releasing the emotions tied to them, and becoming aware of when you are triggered from the past so you can consciously decide who to act or what the right decision is for YOU.

Healing is rediscovering your authentic self—the you that exists beneath the wounds, fears, and expectations of others.

Healing allows you to consciously live your life, free from the unconscious cycles of pain, fear, and hurt.

Healing allows you to release yourself from the pain, anxiousness, and the feeling of being weighted down.

Healing is bringing peace, happiness, joy, and love back into yourself again. It's learning that all of this comes from within you, not from the external world.

Healing is realizing no one can take away your love or worth, as it belongs within you. And you are just as worthy as everyone else in this world.

That is what it means to be self-aware. That is what it means to heal.
